Uncle Sam Card

I made this card  using Paper Dolls Cartridge.  The little guy is made at 3.5 and everything is proportional to him except the hat, I used my gypsy to make it taller and skinner so it looked like Uncle Sam's hat.  And for the stripes on his hat I just made rectangles and made them supper small so they would fit in the hat and little stars. For the Memorial Day I used Gypsy Font and Kerning feature to weld everything together.

Dream

I put the picture on this page over six months ago, but couldn't ever find the words or design to put with it.  Until today I found the dream on a cloud on the Potpourri Basket cartridge and knew that's what it had to be I cut the cloud out at a 5.75 width. Sometimes the simplest things make the page perfect. On the screen it looks black and white, however the photo is actually in a sepia tone and the background is a dark brown.

Joy

I made this card for a friend that is expecting her baby any time now.  This card was made using the Cricut Sampler cartridge.  I cut out three hangers and three onesies from different stocks and glued them together.  I hug the hangers on some raffia and the word joy is also from the Cricut Sampler cartridge. This card was very simple and fast.

Bloom Where You're Planted

This is a simple card that I created using the Wild Card Cartridge. Everything is cut out at 4 1/2 inches.  That’s as large as you can create the matching envelope on a 12 x 12 matte.  I cut out two envelopes to so that I could cut off the “grass” to make it green on the envelope.  The envelope flowers are from the liner feature.  I have this new love for making cards I save money and I actually do give people cards. Giving cards for no reason other than you were just thinking about them is great.

Cute as a Bug

I created this page once a few years ago for my son Kenny, it took me three hours.  This is before I had my Cricut.  This time I used me Cricut and it only took about an hour, and I think it turned out so much better.  I used the George and Basic shapes for the circles I did 2.5 and 1.5 inch circles.  For the bugs, saying and sun I used the "Just Because" Card Cartridge and for the Grass I used the Wild Card cartridge.

Mothers Day Craft Project for Kids

I sometimes volunteer myself to do crazy things, like cut out projects for lots of kids to make for their mothers for mothers day. Here is one of them.  I used the A walk in my garden cartridge.  This is one of my new cartridges and I absolutely love it. My biggest problem was deciding what flower would be best! I used a 12 x 12 sheet of blue paper and cut my pot 6" Then flowers I used both stems and make them from sizes 6" - 8" and the flower tops the same.  The Happy Mothers day is Cursive 101 and I welded them together.
